Language Booster for Exams: Task-Based Lab combines elements from Language by Design and the Conversation Lab within a task-based framework to create a lighter, more exploratory space for teachers who want to stay connected to their English during the break.

 

Across five weeks, participants will engage with authentic language through meaning-focused tasks involving storytelling, conversation, and critical discussion, developing both language awareness and communication skills in a more organic and meaningful way.

 

By combining task-based interaction with lexical exploration and reflection, the course creates opportunities for teachers to speak, experiment with language, notice patterns, and refine expression. The goal is not simply to “learn vocabulary,” but to explore how language is designed to communicate meaning, perspective, tone, and nuance.

 

This is not a course designed for teachers seeking an intensive language-development programme. Instead, it offers a breath of fresh air during the break while keeping participants meaningfully engaged with their English

Note: Brazil currently does not observe daylight saving time. Therefore, all class times refer to Brasília Time (BRT), and it is the responsibility of the clients residing abroad to adjust to the teacher’s time zone.
