FERNANDA CWIERTNIA

ENGLISH TEACHER | ENGLISH FOR PROFICIENCY

This how I see the English language: like a busy expressway. Grammar is the structure—the lanes, signs, and overpasses—that keeps everything organized and flowing. Vocabulary is the traffic, with each word as a unique vehicle, carrying meaning to its destination. Without grammar, the expressway would collapse into disorder, with words colliding and losing their way. Without vocabulary, the road would be barren, lacking the movement and life that make communication meaningful. Together, they create a seamless system, where ideas travel clearly and purposefully.

GET TO KNOW ME

Hi, I'm Fernanda.

Fernanda ELT

I’ve been an English teacher for more than a decade. Twelve years to be more precise.

Cambridge C2 Proficiency (2019)

Cambridge CELTA (2020)

Dogme ELT (2022)

Vocabulary is my gateway to deeper expression. The more I learn, the better I navigate the nuances of language, choosing the right words to convey not just information but emotion and meaning—expressing my true self.

However, my true passion lies in grammar—a puzzle I love to solve. It’s the glue that connects each and every word. I view grammar as an art form—each rule and structure is a brushstroke that contributes to the clarity and beauty of language. →

WHY STUDY GRAMMAR?!

Grammar is the glue that holds language together.

It provides the structure and rules that allow us to communicate clearly and effectively. Without grammar, our words could become a jumbled mess, making it difficult to express thoughts, share ideas, or understand one another.

Think of grammar as the framework of a building. Just as walls, beams, and foundations give a house its shape and stability, grammar gives language its form and meaning. It helps us connect words into coherent sentences, create nuance, and convey emotion. Studying grammar doesn’t just help us write better essays or score higher on tests—it enhances our ability to think critically and express ourselves confidently. Whether you're crafting a formal email, telling a story, or debating an issue, understanding grammar empowers you to choose your words with precision and intention.
